The Employer Branding team is looking for a copywriter to join its global team of marketers responsible for attracting and engaging top talent worldwide. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all candidate communications and collaborating with design, brand, and social media teams to deliver outstanding work on time. 

The Copywriter is central to developing, implementing, and guarding the Employer Brand messaging in all current and future contact points. Being a vital part of the creative force that is the envisioned creative constellation, producing and quality-controlling what comes out of the Employer Branding studio.

The Employer Branding Copywriter will help supercharge the Klarna workforce! With a focus on recruitment marketing, the copywriter will collaborate with others to develop brand messaging, creative campaigns, and marketing copy that connects with job seekers across a variety of media, including digital, web, video, social, events, and more. This role supports Klarna’s dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion, and supports our employer branding team. The copywriter needs to understand how creative, media and strategy intersect; the fundamentals of web content strategy; and the basis of an engaging creative concept. We’re looking for a big-idea person, a collaborator, a skilled storyteller and, of course, a strong writer who can bring the Klarna voice to life.

What you will do

  • Create content that supports scalable marketing tools and assets that will improve recruiter efficiency and enable more effective targeting and conversion of passive candidates. This will include writing recruitment video scripts, developing new interview preparation materials including online and offline content, new event marketing materials, digital banner ads, and social media content.
  • Translate technical language into aspirational value propositions that will excite candidates.
  • Develop content for various channels, including social, web, blog, print, video, etcetera.
  • Be comfortable going from research to idea and implementation on your own.
  • Quickly go from thought to “finished” copy.
  • Write short and engaging copy rather than long brand-building epos.
  • Ensure a consistent, inclusive brand voice that aligns with our brand persona.
  • Work with team members to plan and strategize marketing solutions to complex business needsReview, edit, and write all candidate-facing content.
  • Create engaging copy that conveys our employer branding message in a way that speaks to busy candidates.
  • Monitor the social media landscape to ensure our communication embodies the latest digital trends.

Who you are

  • We need someone who can hit the ground running, so you should be confident in your copywriting skills.
  • You have a background from an agency or in-house marketing department, and you feel that you can contribute to our future growth.
  • You have no problem testing something that is 90% finished, seeing iterations as part of the creative process, and you’re comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • You have at least 3-4 years of experience working as a copywriter.
  • You have sufficient experience to be comfortable working with both strategic and tactical communication excellence.
  • English proficiency.
  • Experience of writing for many different channels/formats.
  • A positive, go-getter attitude.
  • A passion for storytelling and brand-building.
