Commercial Manager - Partner Manager

About Klarna

Klarna was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2005. Since then we've changed the banking industry forever. And now we're creating the world's smoothest shopping experience. We serve over 90 million consumers worldwide, and partner with 200,000 merchants – with a new merchant joining us every 8 minutes. Including some of the world's leading brands, such as H&M, ASOS, IKEA, Adidas, Samsung and Lufthansa. Our offices are spread over 17 different markets, hosted by 3500+ employees from 90 nationalities.

Klarna is thinking about the world differently and we’re looking for people who want to be a part of the future of shopping. You’ll play a key role in this effort - helping us to craft impactful and meaningful partnerships that have a deep understanding of consumer behavior, Klarna products, and how we can enhance and inform consumer shopping behavior. This role will play in part in the entire partnership lifecycle - from concept to execution. We want you to see the world not how it is but how it should be.

You.
As a partnership manager, you will play in an integral role in creating, devising and scoping new partnerships that push the boundaries. You will be responsible for building and maintaining long term relationships with some of the most strategic partners in the US. Your objective is to think big and create deep and impactful partnerships that don’t rely on past success but rather look to the future for what is next.

You’re someone that thrives on ambiguity and likes to think about problems that have not been solved before. You like connecting the dots and thinking about a problem holistically.  To be successful, you will need to be comfortable in a start-up environment and be willing to jump into projects that may seem outside of your scope.

Required.

  • You’re comfortable building a high-level growth strategy, but you can also get down into the weeds if needed.  You are highly reliable and accountable, and you enjoy being evaluated on long-term goals.
  • People around you would testify to the fact that you care more about quality than quantity, but you always make sure to deliver both.
  • You may have a few years of experience working closely with product (or as a product manager) and love making products work as hard for the customer as possible.
  • You are able to see a project through and manage multiple stakeholders across different levels of the organization. You have worked with cross-functional teams, and are comfortable being the face of that team externally.

Preferred.

  • MBA or other applicable graduate degree.
