As a Commercial Associate at Klarna, you’ll join a formidable, passionate team. Your role will help the commercial team open doors and build key relationships with Australian merchants. Klarna is a global organisation that sits at the intersection of retail, payments and online banking.  We’re looking for a self-starter who has long term aspirations to grow into a position on the sales team, contributing to a high growth business and can adapt quickly to a constantly changing environment. 

This role will allow you to develop a variety of skills: strategic planning, persuasive communication, the art of follow up, and tailoring your conversation to specific audiences, that will be foundational training  that will benefit your ultimate career growth within Klarna. Our goal is to use the highest quality outreach across email, phone and social channels to gain meetings at the highest levels within merchant organisations.  Your role is to figure out the best path into the merchants’ organisation and create quality connections.  With our goal of being a true business partner to our merchants, you will be the first point of contact in a long relationship.  

You'll have a strong desire to learn, creativity and tenacity, enabling them to work with key business stakeholders across the organisation.  A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must!

In this role you will:

  • Prospect, engage and qualify new business conversations for Mid Market Merchants.
  • Provide account management expertise to already onboarded Mid Market Merchants.
  • Meet or exceed your monthly meeting goals.
  • Drive outreach communication strategy by vertical based on company research.
  • Support executive outreach with consistent follow up communication. 
  • Ensure Salesforce data is kept up to date & adherence with the system guidelines.
  • Resolve process inefficiencies with the cross functional teams, creating velocity for the team from top of funnel through to close. 
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Partnerships, GtM team members, Stakeholder Mapping teams to achieve goals.

You'll have:

  • 3+ years experience in a sales/account management role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, communications or other related field.
  • A willingness to learn, growth mindset, collaborative team player 
  • The ability to set an impeccable example for the team, showing high integrity, self-management, and a positive outlook towards achieving company goals at all times!
