Your tasks

  • You'll be responsible for the mechanical & structural analysis and development of Battery, Electrical and Chassis Components, Systems and Interfaces
  • Support and guide Design Engineers from early-stage development through optimization and industrialization of innovative concepts 
  • Coordinate external engineering services and partners working on simulation
  • Promote continuous development of Finite Element Methods to improve accuracy and time to result
  • Define standards for FEA Analysis to improve process safety and quality
  • Challenge established traditional CAE methods and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaboratively work with test engineers, and Multi-Body Dynamic Loads Prediction engineers, to create specifications for tests layout, data acquisition and virtual loads prediction. 
  • Use CAE tools to optimize mass
  • Documents CAE-calculation status and is responsible for the CAE data structure in the PDM System 
  • Actively support DFMEA creation

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive Engineering or similar.
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Methods for linear and nonlinear analysis.
  • In depth experience with Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, Hyperworks, LS-Dyna or Optistruct 
  • Work experience in Finite Element Analysis of structural components in Automotive (Chassis, Battery, E/E) and Fatigue Analysis
  • Ability to run Quasi-Static, and dynamic strength analysis of structures
  • Knowledge of optimization tools and techniques
  • Very good Catia skills
  • Sound knowledge of materials, production and assembly technologies for automotive metallic, Electrical and plastic structures
  • Good understanding of Automotive systems and fundamental loadcases
  • Hands-on, flexible and proactive approach, “can do” attitude, autonomy and team playing are essential
  • You are fluent in English. (Fluent in German is a plus)
