Automotive Battery DVP Engineer (f/m/x)

Your Tasks

  • You are part of our battery team and actively and responsibly shape a future in which every car is electric and shared
  • Working with our Tier 1 supplier, you are responsible for the verification and validation of our high voltage battery system
  • Coordination of testing suppliers in order to facilitate all tests required for a successful design validation, i.e. ECE R100, nail penetration, functional test, temperature test, …
  • Select and create relevant requirements per program and gain agreements to the requirements from the supplier
  • Plan and create the design verification plans mostly on battery component and system level
  • Carry out vehicle and test board level testing and produce test reports; eye-witness tests at testing suppliers
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure that our requirements are adhered too
  • Follow up on open issues to bring to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Participate in durability and reliability reviews
  • Review the DFMEA with suppliers and assist in updating the documents

Our Requirements

  • You have gained a technical university degree, preferably in Electric, Electronic or Chemical Engineering, ideally with a focus on high voltage batteries
  • You have several years of professional experience in the field of DVP (battery pack, cell, BMS, battery integration into vehicle)
  • Extensive experience of DVP, sign off processes and creating requirements
  • Solid understanding of high voltage battery systems and the surrounding electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supply, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of APQP advantageous 
  • You are fluent in English (fluent in German is a plus)
