Android Developer - Merchant Success

As SumUp’s ecosystem continues to grow, so does the amount of knowledge that both new and existing merchants need to acquire in order to effectively use the various products on offer. Similarly, they are more likely to face a wider range of challenges that vary in complexity, the more features within the ecosystem they use. Therefore, our vision is to ensure that our merchants only ever contact customer support for truly complex cases that cannot be solved using technology alone. 

What you’ll do in this role:

As an Android developer, you will have the exciting challenge of getting us to our vision by building solutions that enable SumUp’s merchants to proactively resolve issues before they are noticed, provide them with the required information when they need it as well as creating effective and comprehensive self services. You will be joining a truly customer centric and vibrant team based in both Berlin and São Paulo. Sounds interesting? We are interested in meeting you too!

You will be a great fit if:

• You're familiar with Java and Android development.
• You are curious about Kotlin.
• You know what to test, why to test it and how to write flexible tests that won't break.
• You care about user interaction and usability.
• You love coding and take the time to reflect on all aspects of your implementation, be it frameworks, languages or processes.
• You communicate clearly.
• Technology excites you and you strive to learn something new on a daily basis.
