About the Role

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to help us build out a mature analytics and reporting layer by designing, implementing, and maintaining a centralized analytics data model of the business data in our data warehouse.

In this role you will:
  • Collaborate with data analyst and data scientists to provide them with clean data that is ready for analysis or further transformation
  • Collaborate with our data engineers to build robust, efficient and trusted data pipelines
  • Develop data models in SQL and add new data sources
  • Research & implement best practices for data models and pipelines
  • Maintain documentation of our data warehouse for both technical implementation and operational usage
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the data platform (e.g., areas of repeated maintenance, data quality issues, or recurring ad-hoc requests) and propose ideas to address them

About You

  • At least 2 years of experience in building data products, including data orchestration and pipeline tooling (especially dbt)
  • Practical experience and a deep understanding of SQL data warehouses and data modeling
  • Experience with dbt, cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred, Snowflake or Redshift)
  • Professional experience with scripting and relational databases (Postgres preferred)
  • Familiarity with BI platforms (Tableau preferred, PowerBI, Looker or similar)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases s.a. BigTable or HBase is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with a background in statistics, information technology, or computer science
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas in simple language
  • Fluency in English
