Accounts Receivable Accountant

As part of the Accounts Receivable team, you’ll play a key role in the financial reporting and accounting world of SumUp. If you’re excited about supporting a fast growing and diverse business, we’d love to hear from you. The team is fast-paced yet cross-functional. We’re looking to bring aboard AR Accountant to join us and help in ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.

What you’ll do?

• You will process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
• You will communicate issues and resolutions to management and affected areas/departments
• Verifying discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues will also be your responsibility
• You will facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• You prepare monthly receivable statements

You’ll be great for this role if:

• You understand accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• You have experience researching solutions for simple to moderate complex accounting issues
• You have proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• You have preferable hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SAP)
• You have related experience in financial analysis
• You have high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
• You have Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• You are proficient in English and in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
