We are looking for a dynamic finance professional located in Los Angeles who is eager to work closely with our LA-based Finance Manager and the rest of the Munich- based Finance Team to support the execution of NavVis' finance strategy.You will work on:
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
- Make sure that the company is following federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
- Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
- Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks, and reading professional publications.
- Identify any taxes owed or to be received
- Monitor and respond to tax authority communications
- Assisting the Finance & Accounting team with the workload and tasks including but not limited to: AR, AP, Journal entries, month and year-end closing, payroll processing and bank and accounts reconciliations, etc.…
You have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and US GAAP
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in multi-state sales and use tax and federal tax accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Reliable time management skills (meet deadlines, assure timely completion, etc.)
We will be thrilled if you have:
- Experience handling accounting topics related to foreign transactions (foreign currency exchange loss/gain, loan & interest valuation, etc.)
- Experience with conducting month and year-end closings
