Validation Engineer Bi-Directional Charging System (f/m/x)

Your Tasks

  • You will be part of our innovative team, actively and responsibly shaping a future where every car is electric and shared
  • Review and analyse product requirements in order to design and develop testing artifacts
  • Develop DV /PV plan in compliance with Sono processes and test standards
  • Develop project test schedule, and timing plans and use to track all testing deliverables
  • Manage all testing and interfaces with external laboratories to ensure all tests and their results are executed & reported properly
  • Design, develop, and deploy validation testers, load boxes etc. to perform environmental and/or EMC testing for Bi-Directional Charging System
  • Identify required instrumentation to successfully execute the planned test
  • Support the design and development of test infrastructure hardware and software including On Board Charger (OBC), Powerline Communication (PLC) and wallbox
  • Provide input to product development teams on missing/deficient requirements
  • Perform data analysis on test results and present to the development teams

Our Requirements

  • Technical university degree, preferably in Informatics, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the field of Bi-Directional Charging Systems
  • Experience with charging/discharging standards (ICE 61851, ISO 15118) and with testing Standards (LV123, ISO 21498)
  • Experience with HV-systems, Power electronics and HV-Power Management and with DFMEA and DVP&R processes
  • Capable of developing requirements-based test plans for Bi-Directional Charging System and of performing vehicle and system level validation
  • Working knowledge of HIL procedures and equipment and of configuration management, and project monitoring and control techniques 
  • Knowledge of CAN Diagnostic Tools and Simulation Equipment
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus) and very good knowledge of the relevant Microsoft tools
  • Sustainability is close to your heart, you like to swim in the open ocean and stand by your successes and mistakes
