About the role

It’s such an exciting time to join our team at SumUp. As a Principal Talent Acquisition Partner in the Merchant Bank Tribe, you’ll be a key contributor to the Tribe’s overall success helping us build SumUp's own digital bank. You’ll be the single point of contact to your hiring managers, driving initiatives to empower engineering and product teams in making our vision of becoming the best banking partner for small merchants globally come true. 

Our mission starts with Talent Acquisition, a team that aims to attract the right talent and ensure candidates have an amazing experience while getting to know SumUp. As our Tribe grows exponentially, you will own and improve the hiring processes and drive various initiatives in order to fuel our further growth. Our close-knit team is currently looking to expand which leaves plenty of scope to take on your own projects while developing your skills as an HR professional.

What you’ll do

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting processes, from designing positions with hiring managers to putting together sourcing strategy and negotiating details of offers.
  • Develop and execute robust talent attraction and search strategies based on hiring objectives to generate a diverse pool of highly skilled candidates necessary to staff open positions and create candidate pipelines for the Tribe’s future needs.
  • Build strong, consultative partnerships with hiring managers and internal partners while providing expertise around the recruitment process, from supporting with refining our hiring and interview processes, designing positions with hiring managers to putting together sourcing strategies, interviewing candidates and negotiating details of the offers. 
  • Qualify candidates for needed competency fit and engineering excellence as well as interest for current or potential positions.
  • Lead projects in diverse talent management areas such as for example internal mobility, candidate experience , employer branding, or hiring analytics.
  • Make data driven hiring decisions and help us allocate budgets in the best possible way through reporting and KPIs tracking.
  • Build relationships with potential candidates and influence candidates to see SumUp as the "Employer of Choice" by representing the SumUp’s culture values at all times.

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You bring demonstrable experience owning the full life cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, and assessing talent, as well as offer negotiations.
  • Your hiring managers see you as a true advisor on how to find and bring amazing people onboard.
  • You have excellent organizational and project management skills, you can effectively balance opposing priorities, and manage the demands of simultaneous processes.
  • You are passionate about providing outstanding hiring experiences to both your business partners and candidates.
  • You have excellent presentation and English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You thrive in a collaborative team environment where innovation and knowledge sharing are highly valued.
  • You have strong interviewing skills - behavioral and technical interviews are part of your daily life.
  • You’re results-oriented, easy-going, entrepreneurial and passionate about recruiting, process excellence and diversity.
