Your Mission
Securing the daily call handling in the region of 7-digits includes in detail:
- Administration and further development of our service operation at multiple locations, in particular:
- Installation and configuration of servers as VMs and bare metal, in the 4 digit area
- Operation and improvement of our server monitoring
- Operation and improvement of our backup systems
- Operation and improvement of our logging services
- Improvement of our automated installation and software distribution via SALT
- Support the development department with analysis and fixing of server related issues
- Support the further development of our CI/CD pipeline
- Georedundant load balancing with HAProxy, Corosync and Anycast
- Research and implementation of new technologies, based on use- and business cases
- Improvement of our own code and further development of our ops specific architecture
- Participate in the on-call rotation, but no 1st or 2nd level support
Your profile
To excel in this position, you have:
- A degree (BA+) in computer science or a completed apprenticeship as IT specialist for application development (IHK) or related working experience
- Good knowledge of Linux (DEBIAN, CentOS)
- Good knowledge of virtualization with VMware
- Good knowledge of MySQL and/or MariaDB are a plus
- Working experience with SALT
Also, it would be helpful to have:
- Experience with NETBOX, Atlassian tools, Docker
- Willingness to work in a security relevant field
Additionally, you are:
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
- Eager to learn and curious
- Respectfully interacting with others and willing to work in a team
