About the Role

This is an amazing opportunity to positively impact the product releases of a high-growth, high-potential B2B e-commerce startup. In this role, you will be responsible for inheriting ZAGENO’s established product release process and taking it to the next level for risk reduction, scaling, efficiency, use of automation, and quality.   You will collaborate cross-functionally within all levels of the organization. You should have a proven ability to coordinate complex product maintenance/update/release schedules across multidisciplinary teams.  This person will inherit established processes, find opportunities for improvement and drive updates via process, tools, and automation changes.

In this role you will:
  • Researching, developing, and deploying release management best practices, tools, and automation necessary for the construction, continuous integration, and deployment of software releases in a microservices SaaS environment. 
  • Planning release readiness reviews and subsequent release cycles across product components as a unified solution.
  • Measuring and monitoring progress to achieve a timely software release within defined SLA’s and defined quality standards.
  • Ensuring that requirements are clear across dependent project streams with effective maintenance, upgrade, and release.
  • Improve efficiency, reduce cycle time required and achieve a more rapid feature release and product update cadence to the ZAGENO platform environment.

About You

  • Excellent programming skills and experience
  • Demonstrable software infrastructure management & configuration management experience in a microservices-based SaaS environment.
  • Deep experience in the release management and related technologies such as: Git based code development, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Azure Pipelines, CloudBees CD and/or Jenkins, Spinnaker, Codefresh, AWS Amplify, UrbanCode, Octopus Deploy, Puppet.
  • AWS or GCP Cloud deployment experience required.
  • SCRUM Master trained/certified ; SAFe trained / certification a plus!
  • A computer science degree or a similar discipline 
  • Four to six-year experience in using project or release management tools
  • An expert understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Structured thinking
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional work teams up to task completion
