Our local headquarter in Barcelona includes Marketing, Sales, Customer & Dealer Success, People & Culture, Finance, and Business, while Product and Engineering are provided by teams located across Europe. In that context, we are hiring a Controller.

Job purpose:

You will act as a key member of the Finance team and will work closely with the Controlling and Accounting Manager and CFO to ensure the financial vision for the company is achieved supporting all areas in achieving their short- and long-term company objectives.

We are searching for a Controller to develop, maintain and evolve the unit assigned through financial planning and control systems on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, including Cost Center budgets and KPIs planning and control, reports, cost planning, cash collection, and treasury.

What your responsibilities include: 

  • Lead the 12-month budgeting and forecasting cycle across the full financial statements.
  • Be the planning partner for all departments in the organization such as Sales, Marketing, or People & Culture among others.
  • Preparing and analyzing KPIs, coordinating and preparing quarterly forecasts, and provide strategic insights into the observed developments.
  • Implement and manage the accrual process at the customer level, ensuring revenue and costs line up and are recognized accordingly.
  • Own the month-end financial closing process. This includes comparing business actuals vs. forecast.
  • Continually work to optimize financial processes and reporting.
  • Support the preparation of our investor reporting: You will be involved in the preparation of our quarterly investor presentations, related files, analyses, and valuations as well as collecting all required data.
  • Support the yearly financial audit with external auditors.
  • Ad hoc analysis as required.

What you bring to the role: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance & Controlling within the tech industry/corporate environment.
  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). German is a plus.
  • IT ERP systems (ideally Netsuite), CRM (Hubspot), Excel expertise, Looker, and Power BI.
  • Proficient user in Microsoft office (expert in ideally Thinkcell).
  • IFRS & Local Gaap knowledge.

  • Pronounced understanding of numbers and good analytical skills.
