About us

Enabling Better Organizations.

Personio is a fast growing HR SaaS start-up based in Munich. It offers a holistic HR and applicant management software designed for companies with 10 to 1000 employees. Personio plays a critical role in making the day-to-day operations of more than 700 HR teams more efficient and transparent. We are a bunch of fun, international people striving to build the leading one-stop HR platform in Europe.

The Role

Join our international BI team and contribute to shaping the future of thousands of HR teams and organizations across Europe. As part of our core team, you will have the mission to enable better decisions.

You are an expert in creating value out of data, and use your experience to create a scalable reporting infrastructure. Therefore, you not only define KPIs, quality standards, and reporting frameworks but also spread this information across the company. You will need to understand business processes and requirements, define required data sources and data points, and translate the needs into data models to enhance our data lake to enable self-service for other analysts.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure further improvement of our data structures and data quality by identifying issues, defining guidelines, and being in the driver seat for developing solutions with other departments
  • Collaborate with data engineers to utilize and extend our data platform by building business logic and creating generalized data models for business-driven use cases
  • Lead definition and documentation of company KPIs so that they are accessible and searchable for the whole company
  • Leverage our process and projects documentation as well as our data catalog to assure a high and consistent level of quality across the organization
  • Identify and prepare data and insights that are relevant across the company and prioritize them within the BI roadmap
  • Lead analytical projects, where you dive deep into specific topics, identify patterns in data, and create insights which result in action items for your stakeholders

What you need to succeed

  • University degree preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Applied Math, Econ, Statistics, Eng, CS) and experience in applied statistics
  • 5+ years experience in a data analytics role, preferably in a SaaS, Subscription, or B2B environment, providing insights for multiple departments
  • Sound understanding of defining company-wide KPIs and building data models based on complex business requirements
  • Strong SQL and python skills and ideally also experience with BI/Visualization tools like Tableau or Looker
  • Experience in enabling teams to get relevant data and to make data-based decisions on their own
  • An analytical mindset, with the intellectual curiosity to search for context and insights behind the numbers
  • Good communication skills and the ability to share your data observations with stakeholders on all levels
  • Good networker to identify new projects with stakeholders and to foster knowledge sharing amongst your peers
