Engineers on the ViPV Team (Sono Solar) are at the leading edge of next-generation Vehicle Integrated solar products. As a Project Engineer for Automotive Exterior Solar Integration , you will be responsible for developing a successful mechanical integration into our Solar Electric Vehicle, the Sion. You will be part of a team that is working on innovation everyday.The role requires technical know-how, communication skills and a passion for pushing our innovative PV Technology. You can expect many opportunities to get involved and many challenging tasks:
You are working as a technical project engineer doing project management between the different technical teams
You act as an interface between different teams such as vehicle and PV development, external engineering service providers and part suppliers
In that matter, you are working very close together with the vehicle development in order to find the best possible integration of our PV Panels - eg. the Door PV Panel in the door frame
It's your task to guarantee a safe, reliable, easy to assemble and repair integration which protects our solar cells in the best way possible.
For your parts you are creating DVP plans, DFMEA reports and all other necessary technical documents
You are responsible for the costs, timing and right quality of your parts.
Doing that, you always keep in mind the sustainable and environmentally friendly execution of the project.
Our Requirements
You hold a degree (BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng) in a relevant engineering discipline: e.g. automotive or mechanical engineering
You have at least 2 years of experience in a technical role in the automotive or PV industry
You have profound technical knowledge and understanding and are proficient in methods such as CAD, CAE and FEM
You have excellent project management, organisational and communication skills
You work independently, are structured and have a just-do-it mentality
You like to take over responsibility, working proactively and keeping the focus in turbulent time
You love to enter new areas with a high degree of freedom and work yourself easily into new topics
You work in a structured and conscientious way, ideally you have experience with Scrum
You are fluent in English and German
You are enthusiastic about sustainability and passionate about the products we are developing
