Engineers on the ViPV Team (Sono Solar) are at the leading edge of next-generation Vehicle Integrated solar products. As a Project Engineer for the Connection Box, you will be responsible for developing a successful solution for connecting our Solar Body Panels to the Vehicle Harness in our Solar Electric Vehicle, the Sion. Combining PV and automotive requirements will be something very new. You will be part of a team that is working on innovation everyday. The role requires technical know-how, communication skills and a passion for pushing our innovative PV Technology. You can expect many opportunities to get involved and many challenging tasks:
It's your task to guarantee a safe, reliable, easy to assemble and repair connection which connects our solar cells to the vehicle wiring harness in the best way possible.
In that matter, you are working very close together with our suppliers in order to find the best possible technical solution in terms of mechanical & electrical integration
You are working as a technical project engineer doing project management between the different technical teams
You act as an interface between part suppliers, internal vehicle and PV development teams and external engineering service providers
You are leading the prototype- and test phases of our connection boxes
For your parts you are creating DVP plans, DFMEA reports and all other necessary technical documents
You are responsible for the costs, timing and right quality of your parts.
Doing that, you always keep in mind the sustainable and environmentally friendly execution of the project.
Our Requirements
You hold a degree (BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng) in a relevant engineering discipline: e.g. automotive, electrical or mechanical engineering
You have at least 2 years of experience in a technical role in the automotive or PV industry
You have profound technical knowledge and understanding and are familiar with methods such as CAD and CAE
You have excellent project management, organisational and communication skills
You work independently, are structured and have a just-do-it mentality
