People Operations Specialist (f/m/d)

Upgrade your career with Blacklane….we are seeking an energetic People Operations Specialist to join Blacklane’s People Experience team. You will be tasked with enriching the employee experience by owning the People Operations’ activities for your departments using our tools, your experience and a collaborative fun environment.

 

YOUR CHALLENGE

You will enrich our employee experience….

  • Execute and own German payroll. With your exceptional attention to detail you will check all changes impacting payroll are implemented by our external provider to ensure it’s smooth monthly delivery  
  • You’re responsible for a range of HR related topics for each of your departments (incl. onboarding, visas, mobile work, policy interpretation and more) delivering timely responses to our crew while ensuring legal compliance and policy adherence
  • Break new ground and stand out from the crowd by owning people related projects, delivering on process improvements, excelling with our team’s quarterly OKRs and leading your own initiatives 
  • Become a system expert and implement required changes in our crew’s lifecycle by maintaining our HR systems and implementing all admin related asks (e.g. references, contracts, addenda and more)
  • Take center stage in moments that matter by delivering our induction training,  rewarding our crew on anniversaires & shaping company themed events 

 

ABOUT YOU

You're our perfect candidate if you have...

  • Strong background in People Operations. You have at least 2 years of experience in People Operations as HR Admin, HR Specialist or with payroll experience, primarily in international work environments
  • Employment law enthusiast. You have a good and reliable knowledge of German labour law and ideally some exposure to international employment law (preferably Australian, American and / or Spanish)
  • Taking ownership. You’re thorough with your tasks, have a high attention to detail, as well as an independent, structured, and precise way of working
  • Great communication skills. You are comfortable interacting with team members at all levels, carrying courageous conversations and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • You speak fluent German & English
  • You care about yourself, others and your team by seeking out new ways to enhance our crew’s experience
  • You have experience with HR systems preferably Bamboo HR and Small Improvements
  • You have a solution oriented mindset by proposing solutions in the face of ambiguity
