HR Business Partner

sennder is a European digital freight forwarder looking for a people business partner to join our people development team.

As a people business partner, you will be supporting one business area of our central team as their main point of contact. You will have the opportunity to support our teams through our continuous growth. 

Aside from your key stakeholders in your business area, you will work closely with the whole people team - not only the other business partners in Berlin & across Europe, but also our colleagues in Learning & Development, People Operations, People Experience & Talent Acquisition.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE TWO MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES…

Business partnering

  • Collaborate with leaders - from new managers to Directors & VPs - to drive an engaged and high-performing culture through coaching and advising
  • Create reports and analyse trends to support your team, stakeholders and management 

HR project management

  • Drive projects to provide our employees growth and development opportunities, from finding the need, to scoping the project, implementing it, and measuring its success. Some of the topics under our umbrella are:
    • Employee engagement & feedback
    • Probation period and performance reviews
    • Development plans and promotions
    • Communicating new people initiatives to employees
  • Liaise with central & local stakeholders to ensure adoption of programs & collect feedback

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE…

  • Previous experience in an HR generalist or business partner role, ideally in a scale-up or start-up
  • Excellent English and German language skills
  • Empathy, you are a good listener and know how to adapt your approach to different audiences
  • Learning mindset, you actively look for opportunities to grow
  • Presence, you are able to present your ideas in a clear and concise way and have excellent communication skills
  • Basic knowledge in labour law & market practices for Germany
  • Analytical skills, you make decisions based on data
