About the Role

Our Senior DevOps Architect owns the quality of ZAGENO’s DevOps architecture and design and plays a leading role in maturing our set of tools to deploy, maintain and monitor ZAGENO’s industry leading marketplace.  
 
In this role you will:
  • Impact all aspects of DevOps including development, QA, and automation
  • Define a clear technology infrastructure strategy to support ZAGENO’s platform
  • Ensure delivery of a clear technical roadmap for our platform in order to support business requirements defined by Product
  • Assist team members with building, hosting, and deploying cloud-based applications
  • Collaborate with team members to define the architecture and optimize performance
  • Share and ensure adoption of best practices in terms of Infrastructure, Continuous Delivery and Integration, Deployment, and Test Automation
  • Own all infrastructure and development operations for the team and ensure all work meets user requirements, is delivered on time to quality standards
  • Play an active role in the continuous improvement of quality processes and standards to ensure the organization provides an efficient and cost-effective solution that supports an iterative development methodology

Our Techstack:
  • Jenkins and Kubernetes for CI and CD
  • DataDog and Elasticsearch for monitoring
  • Google Cloud as a cloud platform
  • Implementing infrastructure as a code
  • A large scale python environment, deployment and testing
  • Automation (python + shell scripts) is key to qualitatively scaling the team
  • Store, perform queries and reports, and manage big data to different data sources (BigQuery, Elasticsearch, Postgres, our data warehouse)
  • Python, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Django, Redis, Less CSS, and a super minimal JS library (a usable backend trumps a shiny frontend)

About You

  • Substantial experience with automating deployment, scaling, management of containerized applications, ideally with hands-on experience with kubernetes
  • Strong passion for infrastructure as a code, associated automation, and provisioning tools
  • Proven experience with delivering high performance, highly available applications and infrastructure
  • Strong agile development background in a cross-functional environment, preferably in a scale-up
  • A certification such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer or related AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps or Microsoft Azure Architect would also be great
