YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuous collaboration with application developers to optimize and analyze the operation of our products at our customers.
- Analyze unanticipated behavior of our real-time microservice streaming applications on customer systems.
- Working closely with our customers to install and upgrade our software in their IT landscape (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, XEN, AWS, Azure, S3).
- Further development of our internal services to automate build, configuration, deployment and monitoring.
- Enhancing and maintaining our internal servers for Continuous Integration.
- Storing large amounts of position data and accessing it in diverse infrastructure environments.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth knowledge of Linux, networking, routing, firewalls, VPN, IPsec, virtualization, Docker, security and monitoring.
- Experience operating mission-critical network and server infrastructure.
- Experience with automated deployment, scaling, and management of applications in the cloud (e.g. Ansible, Kubernetes).
- A good understanding of automation and scripting in Bash as well as Python.
- Experience with deploying and managing distributed cloud applications (e.g. AWS / Azure / Kubernetes) and cloud storage (S3) is desirable.
- Experience with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) is a plus.
- Hands-on mentality and team-oriented approach to work.
- In general, quick thinking and solid general knowledge is more important than experience with specific tools. However, the more experience you have with the tools and technologies mentioned under "your tasks", the better.
- Good German and English skills
