Consumer Localization Product Manager

We empower our product teams to operate autonomously just like startups and define their problem space, vision, and the value in solving it. We staff these teams with the skills necessary to solve their problem spaces. Product Managers at Klarna lead these multidisciplinary product teams and they have full ownership over their problem space and freedom to decide how to solve it for our customers. They are fully accountable for the results of their teams and responsible for steering decisions based on deep knowledge of our customers, usage data of our products, company’s goals, industry trends, and the competitive landscape relevant to their products.

Product Managers make use of the various backgrounds, perspectives, and knowledge in order to create world-class products.


  • Understand and analyse customer needs within the Australian region as well as competitor’s products. Synthesise customers needs into product requirements
  • Be the voice of the customer in the market by analysing customer contact data and performing user research
  • Identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy for the local market
  • Understand market regulations and compliance to make sure our products are in line with them and spot opportunities, not threats when the market shifts
  • Strong ability in stakeholder management for both internal and external parties and collaboration in all levels
  • Work with central product and engineering teams to prioritise market needs across Klarna's portfolio of products
  • Engage closely with development and operational teams to balance scope and delivery timeline
  • Assist in the development of new products and enhance existing products to achieve product-market fit

We would like to see

  • Speak English fluently and have worked closely with customer insights from Australia
  • BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent practical experience

  • The ability to quickly understand the big picture and explain the local market needs and product requirements to people that don’t necessarily know about your local market
