Business Development Analyst – Small Merchants

As part of the Small Merchants team, you'll play a fundamental role in designing SumUp product offering to a very diverse audience: Small and Medium businesses spread around Brazil, each one with unique characteristics and complex needs. You'll have a leading role in shaping up our strategy and value proposition by conducting data-bated analysis, enabling exploration of new growth paths through experimentation and helping us make decisions based on your insights. We're a multi-faceted team with a strong business sense, an entrepreneurial vision and focused on creating and bringing ideas to life. You'll be an essential part in building a business in an exciting environment, full of supporting, smart and fun people.

 

What you’ll do

  • Design and analyze experiments and draw up meaningful insights, solutions and action plans, aiming to impact the lives of thousands of small merchants
  • Organize and present insights and main findings, supporting our decision-making
  • Define processes for better data collection and usage, enabling a data-driven culture
  • Help us build Small Merchants strategy and value proposition to address gaps and opportunities encountered

 

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 2+ years of professional experience
  • You are self-motivated, results-oriented and hands-on, with great analytical skills and strategic/top-down communication
  • You have advanced Excel and PowerPoint and basic programming skills. These will be your main working tools, so being comfortable with modeling, pivot tables, large data sets and slide designing is a must. SQL, Python and VBA are pluses
  • You are a great team player: this role will require interfacing with various stakeholders, such as leadership, growth and acquisition teams
  • You get excited by the entrepreneurial, fast-paced, high-responsibility atmosphere of a growing Fintech
